Satin Stitch Scenery

Hi,
This is my mother's embroidery work. She used to do a lot of Anchor Stitching Kit work. But she believed in gifting her works to friends and relatives . I could salvage  only this  beautiful embroidered scenery

Floral Design for Kurti Neckline

Hi,
This cute floral neckline was long forgotten. Few months back, I was searching in my half done projects box, this pretty little design just came up.

Initial plan was to trim the edges with beads. Long and Short embroidery is very much complete on its own and adding beads might end up reducing the beauty.(I thought so!!!!!)

So here is the final result . Its a steel gray cotton material. Simple Anchor Cotton embroidery thread is used.

Lord Krishna Mural painting Step2

Lord Krishna Mural Step2

This border design runs through entire circumference of the dress. This again outlined by the fabric liner

Lord Krishna Mural painting Step1

This is a kerala mural painting style on the front panel of a dress.( Salwar kamis ). The base material is jute silk. Here basic outline of the picture is done with fabric liner. Later when the drawing is filled with the paint , this outline will reduce the chances of smudging.

Kamal kadai 2

This was my first try on kamal kadai work and I fell in love with this beautiful stitch. The outcome was not so perfect but pretty. This design is done on the neckline of a shortkurta. Center of the petals were finished with small mirror
